Smiley girl

Here's some recent pics of Kylee. This diva loves to smile for the camera!

Kylee's first birthday party

We had friends and family over to celebrate Kylee's first birthday. She wasn't quite sure what to do with her princess cake. She was more excited about walking in the grass barefoot.

Updated pics

Kaden turned 6 and Kylee turned 1.

More summer fun....

We went to the beach, had a couple picnics and BBQ's, went to Winona to see my parents and my niece Ivy, went out on our friend Doug's boat, went to the pool and had our annual summer party. I'm enjoying the last couple of weeks before I go back to work.

Birthday time.....

Kaden wanted to do a
pool party/bonfire/sleepover for his birthday party this year. So we set up a few kiddie pools and water toys and had some water balloon fights in the front yard. Then we moved to the back to BBQ and let the kids run around and play before a few of the kids went home. Once it started getting dark, Jay started a bonfire so the kids could roast some marshmellows and make S'mores. Delicious! By 10p, the kids were wiped and ready for bed. They kids all camped in the tent in the back yard.

No training wheels....

Kaden is not a little boy anymore and he has quite the personality. He'll be turning 6 at the end of July so we convinced him it was time to take the training wheels off his bike. Jay took them off, and within 5 minutes, he was riding fine and asked when he could learn some cool tricks. Good thing he's still wearing his helmet because I expect some falls when he's practicing his new "tricks". He asked if he could get a dirt bike because that's what the cool kids ride.

Hockey fans

I think I got a couple little hockey fans. Too bad we are still on the waiting list for our Wild season tickets.

Kaden and Kylee updates

It's been a little rainy so we haven't been to the pool once. Kylee is getting bigger every day and can walk with her push toy or if she's hanging onto the couch, but can't quite do it on her own yet. Kaden is enjoying his little sister more now that they can play together. He loves to gently wrestle with her.

Summer is finally here

Once we got back from Maui, I finished up a few things at work and now I'm off for the summer. Looking forward to spending time with the kids....but not looking forward to our bathroom project. We are completely gutting our main bathroom. Luckily, we have another downstairs. We are hoping to have this huge project done in 6 weeks. It only took Jay about 2 days to demo the bathroom. Then he put in new insulation, the new tub, and started tiling the floor. Of course there were some issues, but with our luck, we totally expected that.

Maui in May

I have gotten way behind with my posts. I've had the pictures saved that I wanted to use, but not a free minute to post them. So I will start updating you now for the last several months of 2008.

May was a great month. I got to go to Maui for two weeks for work, and then Jay come out and we stayed for another week. Of course, the weather was fabulous. The kids stayed with Grandma Judy and Papa Doug and they were well taken care of. Kaden had such a great time, he didn't want to come home. The first picture is from our room and the second picture is at our pool. Can life get any better........
